A few of Steve's family members (his mom and two of his sisters) were here this passed week from RI. We had lots of fun hanging out and doing stuff around the town. Our kids especially love having visitors so they had a blast! So glad we got to spend some quality time with them since we do not see them very much. Here is a little of what we did.
Dinner at the Melting Pot (Noah got to eat w/ a "sword")
As far as updates go, we found out yesterday that our car was indeed totaled in the car accident Steve was in two and a half weeks ago. Thankfully, it wasn't his fault, so we haven't had to pay out any money...just out of a car. Car accidents bring a lot of inconvenience and we feel this could have frustrated or discouraged, but it really hasn't at all. It has truly been a blessing in that we are getting more money from the insurance company because of the wreck than if we had sold it on our own. The week before the wreck we were talking and praying about what to do with the car....now we don't have to deliberate over that one! :) We also got a lot more money for it than we thought and we are considering just sticking with one car for the remainder of the year. This will be easier and cheaper when considering it's less insurance to pay, less titles to keep up with while away in Romania and not worrying about leaving it at someone's house. We can just save that money for a future car or future needs. So we thank God for His ways being so different than ours and for keeping Steve safe in this accident!
