Well, guess what? Funny thing...a few days later the blower motor started working again. What we found was that it came in and out....sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. It was a surprise every time we got in the car! But after a couple of weeks it worked ALL the time! It lasted all winter long. Then, a couple of weeks ago (when the weather warmed up), I hopped in Patsy, cranked her up and....no blower motor! I just smiled so big! I truly believe God heard my prayer and that He kept us warm in the car through the winter months. The blower motor hasn't worked for a couple of weeks. This morning we get in the car and Noah says he is cold...and it was chilly outside. Steve cranks up ol' Patsy and you'll never believe it.....there was heat!! GOD is SO GOOD! But, this afternoon on the way home we had to window it once again.
I should mention that 2 weeks ago Steve got into a car wreck that wasn't his fault. He had no bodily damage (Praise God!), but as I was typing this he got a call from the other insurance company and they are cutting him a check for just about enough money to fix the blower motor in Patsy! And that is just to square away medical stuff (which we had no medical problems)....not even including money for the damage to our car! HE blows me away sometimes! (no pun intended). :)
I know that eventually we should fix it, but since November God has reminded me of how He is our faithful Provider! When I see Him constantly providing and taking care of us in these small ways, how can I doubt His provision when bigger trials come along that start to shake my faith? He reminds me of this:
"Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away on barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? ....But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
