Think about all of the birthday celebrations you have had. Family gathers together, they give you gifts, you all have cake and ice cream and on that day YOU are celebrated. You know that someone is happy you are alive and that you are their friend, sister, daughter, son, husband, etc. It feels good doesn't it?
Well, this little guy had never had a birthday party and I was determined to make sure he had one this year!
We bought him a remote control car and soccer ball. He got bubbles and play-doh and there were definitely party hats and cake! I brought my entire family and the mom told the dad to come as well. Yani had his entire family there, plus all the other women at the Maternity Center and our family there to celebrate him.
As we began to sing "La Multi Ani" to Yani, tears just poured down this little guys face. Actually, not just tears, he was sobbing out loud. I don't think he even knew why he was crying, but he was very emotional. It was as if he didn't know what to do with all of the attention and he was not used to it.
It was fun for Noah and Paige to get to play with him. They just start playing together like they have known each other forever.
Happy Birthday Yani!
