it was therapeutic

On Sunday, November 20th Steve and I had a time of sharing about our time in Romania.  We did it in the evening and anyone was welcome to come, but we especially wanted those who supported us to be able to have a chance to hear from us about this experience and to also answer any questions people may have had.

We have already been back a little over 3 months and I believe that most people wanted us to do something like this within 2 weeks of us being back. To be honest, we just couldn't.  It was so overwhelming being back in the U.S. and we really hit the ground running when we got back to Knoxville.  Steve started his job immediately and this made it really hard for us to take the time to process us what we had just done and more importantly what GOD had done over the last 18 months in our lives.  It has taken us about three months to really be able to process things and see what God has done in our lives and now we believe we can see more clearly why the Lord sent us to Romania only to turn us right back around and send us back to North Knoxville.  We obviously don't know all the reasons and we may never, but we know several reasons why.  We have seen the benefits in our marriage, in how we treat and pray for missionaries, we have seen the benefits in how we eat on a weekly basis, in how our children view clean water and toys, in how we view our money, our home, our cars.  We see the benefit of going to Romania when we realize how much more we are content with what we've been given in a home.

This night of sharing consisting of us sharing what we did in Romania on a daily basis, why we are back early and what we are doing now.  It was just such a blast sharing about Romania. Steve and I couldn't hold back the tears.  It was hard sharing about our friends in Romania and babies just lying in hospitals abandoned and not be there!  I just don't understand God's ways at times, but I just keep trusting. His story and His ways are way better than mine!  Sharing about our time in Romania was therapeutic for us.   It was such a blessing to be able to share what God has done and IS doing through the ministry of Belief in Motion & Project 127!  We give God all the glory and we know this ministry does too!  We're ready to go back to Romania for a visit and praying we can next year.  Thanks to those who made it out!
