CONGRATULATIONS!
This weekend Steve and I and his sister gave his parents a surprise anniversary party! It was so much fun and we hope they felt honored and celebrated!
They even cut the cake and fed each other :)
They danced. They were surrounded by family and friends.
They laughed. They reminisced about old memories as we
watched a slideshow. The neatest part was, they got to share their
faith and their testimonies to everyone there.
It was the most GOD glorifying anniversary party I have ever attended.
They were able to share their whole story of how they became followers of Jesus and
put their faith in Him and how their life and their marriage has been radically
changed since that time 21 years ago.
I admire them for being so transparent and honest and for
giving credit to their LORD who has made all the difference.
They know that their lives and the lives of their children and
grandchildren is all because of God's grace! He is the GIVER of
every good and perfect gift.
I loved that this was the conversation my children were overhearing...
how their grandparents accepted Jesus and how HE has changed their lives!
What a blessing! Now Steve's parents are seeing God work in the
life of their son and grandson. The Lord is allowing them to see some of the
fruit of the labor of love in the Lord! They are leaving a great legacy!
Here is to 25 years! Hoping for many more happy years
full of fun and meaningful memories for you guys!
